Developmental Services Inc.’s D-Vine Wine and Beer Festival netted more than $18,000 for individuals with disabilities.

The 11th annual wine, beer and spirits tasting event was March 2 at The Commons in Columbus.

“We had a very good day,” DSI Development Officer Claire Hirsch said. “We had a lot of support from community sponsors and volunteers, and we added a few wrinkles this year to make the event more interesting and raise more revenue for DSI programs.”

For the first time, VIP tickets were sold to approximately 90 of the 630 guests who sampled area wine, craft beers and distilled beverages.

Developmental Services Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 1975 and serves children and adults with disabilities in south central Indiana, including Jackson County.
