A North Vernon man was arrested on preliminary counterfeiting and drug-related charges after Jennings County Sheriff’s Department deputies served an arrest warrant.
Deputies served the arrest warrant at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Lovett Township. Upon arriving at the residence, they made contact with Jason Farris, 37, who was wanted in Jennings County for passing counterfeit bills.
Further investigation led officers to locate numerous prescription and controlled substances and multiple syringes and paraphernalia inside the residence.
Farris was transported to the Jennings County Jail on the following preliminary charges of:
- Jennings County felony arrest warrant for counterfeiting
- Felony possession of syringe
- Felony violation of the Legend Drug Act
- Felony possession of controlled substance
- Misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia
