What did you do well?

“I learned the pool quickly because I didn’t have a great swim Thursday and knew what was wrong, which was mostly being unfamiliar with the pool.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“As a team, we taper, so we cut yardage, and practice is a little slower so we can, in theory, go lifetime bests in practice, then do the same at competition. Personally, I just tell myself I have to beat myself. If I don’t win, so be it, but I have to beat my own times.”
