A Verizon authorized wireless retailer recently announced that more than 570 of its TCC stores donated school supply packs to nearly 6,000 teachers across the United States, including one in Jennings County.

Round Room LLC’s sixth annual Teachers Rock Supply Giveaway took place during the week of Feb. 11 to help ensure classrooms, including those at OVO Head Start in North Vernon, are stocked at the start of the new year.

Since 2014, TCC has donated more than 30,000 supply packs to deserving teachers across the country.

Each participating store partnered with a local school to donate the packs — valued at $77 each. Those packs include pencils, pens, dry erase markers, erasers, glue, paper, tissue boxes, sticky notes and more and enable each teacher to impact an average of 30 students.

Round Room operates 1,247 TCC, Wireless Zone and Wireless Advantage stores across 43 states, including one in North Vernon.

Through its internal Culture of Good movement, TCC makes ongoing investments in the local communities where it operates.

In 2018, the company donated more than 187,000 backpacks with school supplies at TCC and Wireless Zone stores across the country, gave supply packs to more than 5,000 teachers and provided 3,000 care kits to senior living communities.
