Tigers defeat Hornets on senior night
CROTHERSVILLE
Trailing by three points at halftime of Tuesday’s home game against Medora, Crothersville put up a season-high 30 points in the third quarter.
The Tigers then added 19 more in the fourth quarter for an 80-57 win on senior night.
Before the game, Crothersville seniors Logan Brewer, Will Amick, Ethan Deaton and Lane Wienhorst were recognized.
Crothersville led 23-15 after one quarter, but Medora scored 19 points in the second quarter to lead 34-31 at the break.
The Hornets, however, only scored 13 points in the third quarter and couldn’t recover.
Brewer made it a night to remember with 30 points and 11 rebounds — both game highs — while Wienhorst and Timmy Burton had 12 points apiece to lead the Tigers (12-9). Josh Thomas had a balanced effort with eight points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals, and Cable Spall had nine points.
Owen Sullivan led Medora (4-18) with 18 points, and Isaiah Myers added 10.
