A 23-year-old Brownstown man has been arrested on a Level 1 felony charge of child molesting, police report.

Aaron Charles Stuckwisch Jr. was taken into custody without incident Wednesday afternoon and is being held in the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown without bond.

Brownstown Police Department Detective Jac Sanders initiated a criminal investigation Dec. 19, 2018, after receiving information that a 13-year-old girl had recently been molested, according to a news release from the department.

The investigation revealed Stuckwisch allegedly molested the juvenile in November 2018.

Sanders was assisted by Brownstown Police Chief Tom Hanner, Assistant Police Chief Joe Kelly and Officer Adam Behmlander.
