The Purdue Club of Jackson County annual dinner and scholarship auction will be Thursday at Celebrations, 357 Tanger Blvd., Suite 101, at Shops at Seymour.
The guest speaker will be Trey Hackman, a junior at Brownstown Central High School who will share his experiences as a 2018 ambassador to the Back to Space Program at the University of Texas in Dallas. Hackman is one of only 25 ambassadors selected throughout the country and the only one from Indiana.
The meeting and auction are open to anyone interested in hearing Hackman speak of his experiences and learning about the developing initiatives at Purdue, the university’s rich history and plans for the future.
Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., and the meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. There will be silent and live auction items and raffles.

The cost is $20 each or guests can reserve a table of eight for $135.
All money raised from the event will go to scholarships to support Jackson County students from all five high schools planning to attend Purdue University.
