JCB announces commercial banking promotions

JCB recently announced three promotions from assistant vice president to vice president within the bank’s commercial department.

They are Dave Ellis, Tim Risen and Michelle Schaefer.

“They are proven commercial lenders with an excellent reputation for customer service, in-depth knowledge of commercial lending and dedication to community banking, which includes service at local nonprofit organizations,” Senior Vice President Jeff Nolting said.

Ellis joined JCB in October 2007 as assistant vice president, commercial banker, with more than 30 years of lending experience in commercial real estate and agriculture. He is involved in a wide variety of community activities and events, including 4-H and his church.

Risen joined JCB in April 2016. A graduate of Indiana State University and a Bloomington area community bank lender for 13 years, he provides JCB with strategic insight into the Bloomington market and customer base. He is actively involved in the Bloomington community through the Boys and Girls Club and other nonprofit organizations.

Schaefer returned to her JCB commercial banker role in August 2017; however, before her return, she had more than nine years of experience with JCB in treasury management and commercial lending. A graduate of Ball State University, she is involved in many community organizations in Jackson and Bartholomew counties, including serving the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce as an ambassador, the Heritage Fund and Camp Lakeview Foundation.

Based in Seymour and having offices throughout south central Indiana, JCB has provided a full range of traditional banking and other relevant services to customers for more than 118 years.
