DSI fundraiser planned in Columbus

Award-winning wineries, breweries and distilleries from around the Hoosier State will offer free samples and products for sale during the 11th annual D-Vine Wine and Beer Fest on March 2 in Columbus.

Proceeds benefit Developmental Services Inc., a nonprofit agency established in 1975 that serves children and adults with disabilities in more than 50 counties in central and southern Indiana, including Jackson.

Guests can sample their favorite libations from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Commons, 300 Washington St. Snacks will be available to purchase.

Doors open at noon for VIP ticket holders ($50) and at 1 p.m. for those with general admission tickets ($25 in advance or $30 at the door). Besides earlier admission, VIP ticket holders will receive an arm’s length of 50/50 tickets, free appetizers and a goodie bag.

All tasters will receive their choice of a commemorative wine or beer glass and chances to win door prizes. Guests also may participate in hourly 50-50 drawings. This is a 21 and over event.

DSI services include job training and placement, residential living options, computer literacy, nutrition and fitness, daily living skills, community connections and advocacy.
