SEYMOUR

Weslynn Regina Davis, age 63 of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her home. Born July 13, 1955 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Barbara L. Bogard-Steward and Billy Steward.

Weslynn was a graduate of Seymour High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Ivy Tech. She worked as a seamstress and she did work for Ray’s Cleaners, various weddings and even for movie sets and music videos. Weslynn also did bookkeeping work for Williams Moving. She was a member of the Jamestown Apartments Church. Weslynn had been formerly a Girl and Boy Scouts Leader and a member of Pi Theta Kappa where she received an award of excellence.

She was passionate about her crafts. She made FOP dolls and donated a set that made it to President George H.W. Bush. She made quilts that were donated to Orphan Grain Train. Her children always remember their mom having an open door for neighborhood kids. If someone needed clothes, she made them as well as for other family members. Weslynn also enjoyed cooking and canning giving much of that away.

Survivors include her spouse Andrew Smith; children, John Williams, Jeffrey (Kim) Williams and Stacy (Adam) Ward; grandchildren, Jared Mathis, Erica (Jordan) Bowman, Taylor Williams, Logan Williams, Macy Williams, Evan Williams, Christian Fowler, Allison Ward, Brianna Valentine, Taylor Valentine, CJ Valentine; great-grandchildren, A. J., Alycee, Maddyson, Jayden, Bransyn, Caitlyn; siblings, Sonny Foley, Malaya Foley, Lewisa Foley, Lissa Foley, Jerri Frey and Bobbie Muncy. Weslynn also leaves behind her precious pup, Sweetie Pie.

Weslynn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandy Steward; and her pups, Daisy Mae and Sissy.

Services will be held at 2:00 on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 12:00 until service time at the funeral home.
