Youth wrestling signups
Seymour Youth Wrestling League is open to any and all Kindergarten through fifth-graders that attend Jackson County schools.
The league will last from January to March.
Registration is available at www.seymourowlswrestling.com under the registrations tab.
Registration closes on Dec. 21st.
There will be a parent meeting on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Seymour High School commons.

Annual pitching clinic planned
The Seymour Owls Baseball program will have its fourth annual youth winter pitching camp on Dec. 20.
There will be two 90-minute sessions during the one-day clinic.
Second through fourth-grade will start at 6 p.m. and fifth through eighth follows at 7:30. Cost is $10.
There will be drills emphasizing basic and advanced fundamentals of pitching.
The purpose of the camp is to give each pitcher a set of drills than can help improve mechanics, arm strength and arm safety.
Zack Brown and Elvis Hernandez will be instructing.
Brown, a 2013 Seymour High School grad, just finished his second full season in the Milwaukee Brewers system. He spent the season in Double-A Biloxi where he was named an All-Star and the Brewers’ Minor League Pitcher of the Year. He is currently ranked the No. 1 rated pitching prospect in the organization.
Hernandez the pitching coach at SHS. He is a former Double-A All-Star in the St. Louis Caridnals organization.
Those in attendance must bring a glove and tennis shoes.
The camp will be at Blu Crew Baseball, located at 105 S. O’Brien St. in Seymour.
