Mrs. Beatrice “Bea” Simmons, 83, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born on February 28, 1935 to the late Helm and Minnie (Kiling) Stone.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, August 6 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Larry Tingle officiating. Burial will follow at Uniontown Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday from 11 am until time of service.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. At First Marion Baptist Church on May 8, 1954, she married Joseph “Joe” Simmons; he preceded her on death on July 23, 2010. She was a Credit Manager at Sears & Roebuck Co. until it closed. She then worked at Home Federal and retired from Human Services at age 70.

She is survived by her children, Mark Simmons and Shannon Platter; grandchildren, Brandon (Kourtney) Simmons, Matthew Davis and Whitney (David) Malone; great-grandson, Cole Simmons; and great-granddaughter, Lorali Simmons.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Pamela Jo Simmons; and son-in-law, John M. Platter.
