Interstate reopens at Walesboro

Updated at 8:44 a.m.: The southbound lanes of Interstate 65 have reopened after the removal of a semitrailer involved in a wreck near the 61-mile-maker, police report.

The interstate had been closed at exit 64 while crews continued to clear a crash near the 61-mile-marker, according to Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles.

Southbound motorists are advised to use U.S. 31 or State Road 11 as alternate routes.

Officers with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department investigated the wreck.
