Mr. Luis Irwin Tracy, 78, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hickory Creek in Scottsburg. He was born in Jennings County on July 16, 1939 to the late Ora A. and Maude L. (Perry) Tracy.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Tom Woodson officiating. Burial will follow at Hayden Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm and on Wednesday after 12 noon until time of service.

Luis had attended Weston Baptist Church. He graduated from Hayden High School in 1957. After graduation, he went to work for Jackson County Farm Bureau CO-OP. He then was a Greyhound bus driver for 7 years, as he drove for Pepsi and Harley Bag, both of Seymour. He was a veteran of the National Guard for 8 years. In 1970, he entered the Auction business, and was a licensed Auctioneer for 46 years, where he held 3,252 auctions. He operated the Jonesville Auction Barn and other auction barns for several years around the area. Luis set up numerous flea markets in the area and in Florida during the winter months.

Luis is survived by his children, Melody Tracy and Jeff Tracy; grandchildren, Kade and Lexi; brother, Lester (Barbara) Tracy; and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Walker.
