Ragle Inc., the state’s contractor for this $461,365 small structure replacement project in Lawrence County, is currently completing installation of a four-sided box culvert that carries Leatherwood Creek under State Road 58. It measures 16-by-4-feet with a 42-foot width. Once reopened, State Road 58 motorists may experience random delays while crews finalize ancillary work.
Closer to Heltonville, the Newburgh-based contractor will replace a three-sided box culvert with a concrete structure measuring 10-by-6-foot with a 56-foot width.
Monday’s closure will continue for up to 30 days. Detours will be posted.
State Road 58 has a traffic count of 530 vehicles per day.
