Mrs. Emogene Bode, 92, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. She was born in Waymansville, Indiana on July 23, 1925 to the late Walter and Lorena (Pugh) Voss.

Family and friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Monday, July 2, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, White Creek.

In 1943, she married Hershel Bode; he preceded her in death. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour. She retired from Amoco Plastics after many years of service. Emogene enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a wonderful mother and loved her family and caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Anthony (Ginger) Bode, James (Carlla) Bode, Mark (Patricia) Bode, Cathy (Gary) Meyer, Beth (Michael) Elsner and Marsha (Frank) Beach; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jacoby; and brothers, Marion Voss, Jack Voss, Estel Voss and Lestal Voss.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Terry Bode; son-in-law, David Sandhage; daughter-in-law, Judy Bode; brothers, Gordon Voss, Roger Voss, Kenneth Voss and Eldon Voss; and sisters, Pearl Ritz and Eva Marcil.
