INDIANAPOLIS
Billy Dean Gibson, age 68, of Indianapolis and formerly of Whitesburg, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his residence. Born June 11, 1950 in Neon, Kentucky, he was the son of Ralph and Mary Maxine (Hensley) Gibson. On February 27, 1995 in Indianapolis, Billy married Pamela Janet Hess.
Billy worked at a truck driver for 40 years and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He loved cars, old westerns, traveling and sightseeing. Billy enjoyed attending church and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela of Indianapolis; his children, Tammy Fields and Sherry Keel; his step children, Shellie Hall and Scott Hess; his sisters, Brenda Morgan and Kathy Spangler; his grandchildren, Amber Hall, Timmy Hall, Lonnie Hall, Evan Fields, Page Adams, Holly Hensley, Joseph Keel, Kimberly Thomas, Jessica Keel, Brittany Hess, Christian Hess, Chelsea Hess, James Hess, Katelyn Hess, Crystal Hatton Casey Slone and Isaac Fields; great grandchildren, Luke, Lyla, Zay, Zayden, Brackstyon, Morgan, Elijah, Cooper Camden, Caden McKenzie, Ari, Holden, Cayden, Ally Cameron, Kelsie, John, Joshua, Jax and Geneva.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his mom and pop Steve and Rena Sexton; one brother, Shelby Gibson.
Walter Hall III will conduct services at 2:00pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be Friday after 11:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with military honors. Memorials can be made at the funeral home to the Billy Gibson Memorial Fund.
