Seymour golf holds awards program

Seymour’s boys golf program concluded its season with an awards program at Shadowood Golf Course on Tuesday.

Owls senior Tyler Bullard received awards for having the lowest 9-hole (41.42) and 18-hole (81.8) averages.

Bullard also took home a plaque for advancing to the Providence Regional this spring.

At the Bloomington North Sectional, at Bloomington Country Club, Bullard shot an 86 to keep his season alive.

In regional action, at Champions Pointe in Henryville, Bullard finished strong by carding a 78.

Bullard was also recognized as a four-year letterman for the Owls.

Owen Marshall, a freshman, took home the most improved award while classmate Ethan Dippold received the sponsorship award.

Six members of the Owls’ squad earned varsity letters. Hunter Browning, Connor Hinton and Browning all earned their first letters at SHS.

Bullard and Browning are the Owls’ two seniors. Seymour will return 13 players to next year’s roster.

Seymour, coached by Jim Hoffman, finished with an overall record of 47-32.

They finished eighth in the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament and four in the sectional.
