Seymour’s annual Fourth of July celebration, sponsored by Lannett, Radio 96.3 WJAA and the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department, will offer several activities July 4.
Half-price admission to Shields Park Pool will be from noon to 5 p.m. The pool will not reopen from 6:30 to 8 p.m. that day.
The free Music in the Park, compliments of the parks and recreation department and This Old Guitar Music Store, is from noon to 3 p.m. at Shields Park. It will feature Molly Hayes, Gage Mull, Gabby Murphy and Lela Hendley. People are invited to bring lawn chairs, coolers and blankets, and the pool concession stand will be open.
The free Lannett fireworks display synchronized to music will begin at 10 p.m. at Freeman Field Recreational Complex. Radio 96.3’s Cool Bus will be on location throughout the evening.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on city property, and private fireworks also are prohibited.
