Bret David Daugherty, 48 of Seymour passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
He was born October 13, 1969 in Columbus, Indiana to James and Sheila Daugherty.
He graduated from Seymour High School in 1988 receiving a scholarship to Indiana State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology Management with a minor in Journalism in 1992.
In 1995, Bret started the 13th Floor Music Store and was still operating when he passed away. His many loves included cars, driving, music, working crossword puzzles, reading, playing drums, trying new foods and eating at the Silver Dollar in Louisville.
He also had a love for animals.
Surviving to cherish Bret’s memories are the love of his life, Jenny Ray, daughters, Zoie and Ava, his parents, James and Sheila Daugherty, sister, Brandi Daugherty, nieces, Monica and Reese and his best friend, Mark Allman. He is preceded in death by his kitty, Earl.
A celebration of Bret’s life will be held from 3-6 pm Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the 13th Floor Music Store, 111 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN 47274.
