All lanes of northbound Interstate 65 just north of Seymour are now reopening after a crash near the 51-mile-marker.
Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, public information officer for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post, asks motorists to remain patient because it will take some time for traffic to clear out.
The wreck brought traffic to a standstill on I-65 and U.S. 31 as vehicles were diverted from the Crothersville and Uniontown exits in southeastern Jackson County to U.S. 31.
Around 7 a.m. today, a semitrailer overturned after colliding with a sport utility vehicle and then caught fire.
Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported, Wheeles said.
At that point, the northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for a 14-mile stretch between Uniontown and Seymour.
