Purdue Extension Jackson County has planned a 4-H organ petting zoo from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 14 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds near Brownstown.
Participants will need to park by the livestock buildings.
This workshop is open to all Jackson County 4-H members.
This Old Farm, a meat processing company, will present information about real livestock organs.
Members will learn about where their food comes from, health, anatomy and hands-on learning.
Youth in kindergarten through eighth grade need to have a chaperone present during the workshop.
4-H’ers wishing to participate should call the extension office at 812-358-6101 to preregister. When preregistering, provide an emergency contact.
