A State Health Insurance Assistance Program counselor will be at the Brownstown Senior Housing clubhouse, 823 W. First St., at 10 a.m. Thursday to explain the latest on Medicare.
The free counseling service provided by the Indiana Department of Insurance and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services helps people assess their rights as a Medicare beneficiary and make the best decisions about their health insurance policies.
The program helps answer questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Medicare Advantage (managed care programs), Medicare Part D, long-term care financing options, prescription coverage and low-income assistance.
