Actors Community Theater of Seymour is sponsoring a pair of contests Thursday at the Crothersville Red, White & Blue Festival.
The baby contest will have categories for 0 to 3 months, 4 to 6 months, 7 to 12 months, 13 to 24 months, 25 to 36 months and 37 to 48 months. Girls and boys will be judged separately. This year’s contest also will feature an overall best patriotic class and a twins class.
The entry cost is $5 per child. Ribbons will be awarded for first and second places in each class.
The Little Miss and Mister Red, White and Blue contest will be for children ages 5 to 7. Children will be judged on patriotic dress and their ability to answer a simple question chosen at random.
The entry fee for this event is $10 per child.
Sign-ups for both contests will begin at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Crothersville High School gymnasium. Judging of the baby contest will begin at 4 p.m., and the Little Miss and Mister contest will follow.
Winners of both contests will be announced during the opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. on the festival stage.
