Julie Ann Lawson, 63, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 25, at her home. She was born in Seymour on July 13, 1954 to the late Hugh and Eva June Lawson and baptized at Brownstown Christian Church and graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1972. Julie received her degree in nursing from Purdue University and worked as a nurse for 41 years. She loved her patients.
Funeral service will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 a.m. with minister Doug Pogue officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Julie was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Matthew Phillip and Erin Elizabeth Morton; siblings, Cindy Jane (Terry) Gilliland and John (Susan) Lawson; grandchildren, Caleb, William, Cortney, Haley, and Maxwell; niece, Rebekah Lawson and nephew, Tyler Lawson.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents.
