CROTHERSVILLE

Mr. Earl Colvin, 84, of Crothersville, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018. He was born in Scott County on January 6, 1934, to the late Harrison E. and Agnes (Owens) Colvin.

Funeral service will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, May 17 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday from 11:30 am until time of service.

Earl married Mary Anna Stewart in Columbus on July 21, 1979; she preceded him in death on December 30, 2017. He was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Cummins Engine Company and then went to work at Arvins where he also retired. He liked to fish and play guitar. He was a great family man who loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Earl is survived by his children, Leota (David) Satterthwaite and Samantha (Grover) Hanners; grandchildren, Destiny and Alexis Satterthwaite, Lindsey and Tyler Howell, and Autumn and Ashley Hanners; and great-grandchild, Braelynn Freeman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Anna Colvin; brothers, Ray and Dewey; and sisters, Fern, Viola and Leola.
