Experienced adults will be on hand to help 4-H’ers with their sewing projects during upcoming workshops.
The sessions are set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 5, 12, 19 and 26 at Seymour High School, 1350 W. Second St., Seymour. Attendees should enter through the bus lobby entrance off of Second Street.
The workshops are open to 4-H’ers in grades 3 through 12.
Before the workshop, students should purchase their fabric and launder it. Organizers recommend purchasing fabric from a fabric or quilt store. Fabric that is slippery or easily frays will make the project more difficult.
Youth planning to stay all day should bring a drink and either a sack lunch or money for lunch. They also should bring something to carry and store supplies, a pattern if needed and scissors, pins and anything else that is required for their project.
Preregistration is required and may be done by calling Purdue Extension Jackson County at 812-358-6101. Students should RSVP for each session they plan to attend.
