Clayton Davidson

PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL

Clayton Davidson, 79, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at Tradition Medical Center on March 19 2018. Mr. Davidson was born April 23, 1938 in Brutus, KY to Jarmon and Susie Davidson.

He retired from Cummins Engine Co. and had previously worked as a police officer for the Brownstown City Police Department. He married Janet Wheeler on Sept. 22, 1983, and she survives.

Other survivors include his children: Etta Hounshel, Pauline Barger, Janet (Mary) Davidson, Lana (Mike) Irwin, Traesia (Tom) Carr, Kelvin (Tanya) Bowling; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; Brothers: Clyde (Helen) Davidson, Virgil (Bessie) Davidson; Sisters: Carol (Jim) Herald, Betty Brock, Opal (Chester) Peacock.

Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by two sons: Larry and Gary Davidson; Brothers: Cecil,Willie Davidson; Sister, LeAnna Shirley; One-great granddaughter, Katelyn Gale. Memorials may be made to Rocky Ford Free Methodist Church, Columbus,IN.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, and one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
