The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana chapter hosts support groups across the state for unpaid care partners, family members and friends of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

One group meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month in the conference room at the Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center, 200 S. Pine St., Seymour. The next meeting is set for Feb. 21.

Another group meets at 4:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. The next meeting is set for Tuesday.

Support groups are free and designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers.

Attendees will develop coping methods, encourage self-care, learn about community resources and optimize care techniques. While sharing personal experiences is encouraged, it is not required.

There are no fees to attend support groups.
