Susan Cordes of Carmel and Ryan Selby of Greenfield were married at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Columbus. The Rev. William Cordes officiated. A reception was conducted at The Commons in Columbus.

The bride is the daughter of William and Adele Cordes of Columbus and the granddaughter of Mary Lou Cordes of Seymour, the late Charles W. Cordes and the late Adrel and Monis Benbrook.

The groom is the son of Charles and Christa Selby of Washington.

Abigail Obszanski of Carmel was matron of honor. Sara Crahan of Oceanside, California, Malorie Jones of Katy, Texas, and Hajnalka Selby of Washington were bridesmaids. Allison Cordes and Brianna Cordes, both of Columbus, were junior bridesmaids.

Aaron Selby of Washington was best man. Bill Cordes of Columbus and Tommy Riester and Ryan Tolbert, both of Washington, were groomsmen. Dylan Cordes of Columbus was junior groomsman.

Evelyn Rose Selby of Washington was flower girl. Rhett Cordes of Columbus was ring bearer. Chris Selby of Washington and Dustin Cordes of Seymour were ushers.

Susan is a genetic counselor in maternal-fetal medicine at Community North and in the hereditary genomics division at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Ryan is a land surveyor with American Structurepoint Inc. in Indianapolis.
