Betty Lois Lovelace, 87, of Scipio, died on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:30 a.m. at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility.

She had worked years ago at Indiana Bell, Jennings County Hospital, and D.S.I. for many years, she was also a homemaker.

She was a member at East Columbus United Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques and cameos, going to yard sales, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Bishop Doyle Myers officiating and speaker William Lykins.

Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.

On October 30, 1954 at East Columbus United Methodist Church, Betty married Lawrence Lee Lovelace.

Survivors include her children, Connie (Daryl) Maddux of Mooresville, Tony (Peggy) Lovelace and Steve (Shelia) Lovelace, both of Scipio; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lauren) Sprague, Zachary McCrory, Sadie (Eugene) Dye, Caleb Lovelace, Matthew (Kati) Vance, Mallorie Lovelace, and Courtney Guffey; great-grandchildren, Becca, Piper and Molly Sprague, Elexus Lovelace, Kayci and Hazel Vance, Braden Guffey and Carter Weaver; and brother, Gene Wilber of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on September 25, 2008; brother, Paul Wilber, and a sister, Shirley McDaniel.
