Rosella May Ballman, 83, of Seymour, won her journey on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, and is now with her Heavenly Father.

Rosella was a member of the Freetown Church of the Nazarene. She was a caregiver for ten years and lived life in joy.

Born on September 24, 1934, at Five Points, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Samuel Doyle and Mary Etta Guyer Kitchen, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert Ballman, Sr., and he also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Robert (Paula) Ballman, Jr. of Seymour; one daughter, Brenda (Michael) Sheldon of Freetown; one brother, Richard Kitchen; four sisters: Nancy, Helen, Sandy, and Joyce; two grandchildren: Joshua (Andrea) Sheldon and Amy Sheldon; step-grandson, Joey Rollins; three great grandchildren: Callee Sheldon, Blair Sheldon, and Sawyer Sheldon; and two step great grandchildren: Kamryn Rollins and Karson Rollins.

Rosella was also preceded in death by four sisters: Louise, JoAnn, Betty, and Delores; two brothers: Charles and Robert; and one step granddaughter, Rachel Stevenson.

Funeral services for Rosella May Ballman will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor David Ison officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Freetown Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in memory of Lyla Burnside 100 Voices of Hope IU Cancer Center or Schneck Hospice.
