Immanuel Lutheran Church’s guild conducted its annual Christmas party Dec. 5 in the fellowship hall of the Seymour church.

Peggy Stark welcomed members and guests.

“Christmas Around the World” was the theme with tables decorated with a universal Christmas theme as it is celebrated in different countries — Germany, France, Mexico and Japan.

Dinner music was played by violinist Eri Ando. Pastor Rodriguez had the opening prayer.

The group enjoyed a catered meal from Bob Evans. The Immanuel youth led by Matt Nieman served the meal.

Pastor Going discussed Japan and Christianity. Pastor Blomenberg gave the devotion on the book of Luke, and then the group sang “The First Noel” and “Silent Night” with Martha Bloch accompanying.

Poinsettias were given as door prizes. Pastor Bloch gave a closing prayer.

Hostesses for the evening were chairwoman Stark, Doris Frey, Pat Nicholson and Adrene Wunder.
