A Seymour church plans to offer a Financial Peace University course this fall.

The first class at Bethel Community Church at 350-398 Calvin Blvd. will be at 4 p.m. Oct. 1.

Financial Peace University is operated by syndicated columnist Dave Ramsey and is designed to teach families and individuals how to handle their money through common-sense principles and small-group accountability.

Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.

After each lesson, the group meets in smaller groups to help and encourage each other, plan budgets and discuss successes and temptations.
