The 11th annual Seymour DARE Soap Box Derby will take place Sunday.
Registration begins at noon in the Seymour Library west parking lot, and racing starts at 1 p.m. Derby cars must be in the pits by noon.
The cost is $10 per person or $30 per family of three or more. Drivers must be 5 years of age or older.
All money raised from the event goes to support the Seymour Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.
The public is welcome to bring lawn chairs to set up and watch the race, cheer on drivers and support Seymour DARE.
Helmets are required for all drivers, and cars must have functional steering, brakes and not utilize pedals, chains, small engines or batteries for power.
Cars must weigh less than 176 pounds, not including the rider.
In the event of rain, the derby will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 24.
