Duathlon benefits trails system

The Crossroads Community Trails committee is conducting its third annual duathlon at 11 a.m. Sunday at Freeman Field Recreational Park off of State Road 11 south of Seymour.

The event consists of a 1-mile run, 8½-mile bike ride and a 5K run.

It’s a beginner-friendly race open to all ability levels. The run course utilizes the Grassy Fork off-road trails around the soccer complex, and the bike course is on the road.

The cost is $50 and can be paid on the day of the race.

Online registration is available at indianatiming.com.
