Owls hosting homecoming picnic

The Seymour Middle School football parents club is hosting a homecoming picnic Friday at the east end of Seymour High School’s Bulleit Stadium.

Meals will be sold from 5:30 to 7 p.m. prior to the varsity game against Bedford North Lawrence.

The $5 meal includes a barbecue pulled pork sandwich, chips, a drink and dessert. For $3.50, patrons receive a hot dog, chips, a drink and dessert.

Braves hosting charity drive

The Brownstown Central volleyball team will be conducting a food drive during its home match with Seymour on Sept. 26.

The Braves will be collecting items for the school food pantry and ask everyone bring one item or more.

Items needed include: shampoo, deodorant, laundry soap and non-perishable food items.
