Arthur L. “Cork” Sanders, 78, of Seymour, passed from this life at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Cork retired after 30 years from Sanders Masonry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Cork was born June 28, 1939, in Columbus. He was the son of Charles and Betty Knotts Sanders.
He married Alberta Ann McMillan on June 28, 1957.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vickie Eaglen of Seymour; grandchildren, David Haddix, Jera Haddix, Heather Eaglen, Gregory Eaglen II and Tayler Eaglen; great-grandchildren, Ryli Lowe and Lalie Haddix; son-in-law, Jerry Haddix of Seymour; a brother, Danny Sanders of North Vernon; and sisters, Mary Jones of Brown County and Sharon Fields of Edinburgh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Arthur L. Sanders Jr.; a daughter, Debbie Sanders; brothers, Jack and Charles Sanders; and a sister, Sandy Olson.
