Brownstown Veterinary Clinic will host a rabies clinic and pet adoption event from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9.

The rabies clinic will be conducted inside the large-animal facility behind the office at 1328 W. Commerce St., Brownstown.

The costs are $12 for rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats, $15 for a dog booster and $25 for a cat booster. Those will be the only vaccines offered that day.

All dogs should be kept on a leash, and all cats should be in a carrier.

Red Sky Rescue, a dog shelter in Medora, also will have a few dogs to promote for adoption as part of Adopt-a-Pet’s national adoption weekend.

Volunteers also will be doing microchipping in front of the veterinary office.
