Elsie L. Reynolds, 92, of Crothersville, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at her home.

Born July 14, 1924, in Scott County, she was the daughter of Damon and Delia Payne Boyd. On Aug. 4, 1945, she married Earl E. Reynolds, who passed away Dec. 11, 1968.

Elsie was of Baptist faith and a member of Crothersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, raising a garden, canning her harvest, working on puzzles, playing Uno with her grandchildren and spending time with her family and loved ones. She worked at the former U.S. Shoe Factory in Crothersville and retired from Cummins Engine Co.

Survivors include two sons, Glen (Marsha) Reynolds and Danny (Debbie) Reynolds, all of Crothersville; two daughters, Janie (Dick) Cornett of Crothersville and Patty Jo Robinson of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren, Stacy (Mellany) Solsberry, Brandon (Terri) Robinson, Ben (Stephanie) Robinson, Lynn (Jim) Murphy, Nikki (Chris) Parker, Glenna (Kyle) Newberry, Brionna (Joe) Reynolds-Estes, Tiffany (Chris Mains) Reynolds, Tyson (Lori) Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds and Chad Reynolds; 24 great-grandchildren, Danna Solsberry, Regina Jan Kura, Amy Johnson, Brittany (Austin) Leiser, Riley Robinson, Nate Robinson, Kate Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Jessica Kellermeier, Ryan Murphy, Ashley Murphy, London Newberry, Aspen Newberry, Reece Newberry, Hayden Pilgrim, Braylen Cantwell, Abbi Cantwell, Alexa Parker, Gavin Parker, Shea Reynolds, Kilie Reynolds, Jackie Reynolds, Corey Reynolds and Josh Reynolds; 20 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arnold “Bud” Boyd of Vienna, Johnny (Ann) Boyd of Seymour and Jack Boyd of Sellersburg; one sister, Barbara (Clyde) Keller of Scottsburg; one daughter-in-law, Rusty Reynolds of Crothersville; and her faithful furry companion, her cat, D.D.

She also was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Reynolds; son-in-law, Pastor Don Robinson; two brothers, Robert Boyd and Zon Boyd; and three sisters, Carrie Harmon, Grace Peacock and Dale Rich.

Her grandson, Pastor Ben Robinson, will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m. today at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until time of service today at the funeral home.
