
CORINTH, Texas
Terry Marcott, 59, of Corinth, Texas, won another race Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Terry crossed the finish line and beat us all to heaven.
Born Sept. 24, 1957, he was the son of Harry Marcott Jr. and Florence Huffman, who both survive. On June 24, 1978, he married Nancy Arthur, and they had 38 beautiful years of marriage. She survives.
Terry was a loving father to two daughters, Rebecca and Amanda Marcott, who admire him greatly. They also survive.
He worked at Varel International of Texas and was an avid runner who inspired many through this talent. He was a command sergeant major of the United States Army Reserves and served his country for 34 years. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church along with his wife.
Other survivors include his granddaughter, Destiny Simpson; sisters, Judy Scott, Rayetta Franklin, Patty Ryan, Kathy Eisele, Pam Barlett, Susan West and Judy Wade; and brothers, Marvin Wayne Huffman and Gary Marcott.
He was proceded in death by his stepdad, Marvin Huffman, and sisters, Sharon Kay Ward and Carol A. Monroe.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Baptist Church in Denton, Texas.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a. m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
