SEYMOUR
Janet E. Jarvis, 75, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 9, 1941, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Charles and Thelma Ewing, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 16, 1963, in Seymour, she married Ronald Jarvis, who survives.
She was a member of Seymour First Baptist Church, where she was secretary for many years. She served on several committees and boards at the church.
Other survivors include her two children, Susan (Mark) Deaton and Matt (Michelle) Jarvis; sister-in-law, Wanda Ewing; and six grandchildren, Harlan, Alison, Madison, Aaron, Jaden and Ethan.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley Ewing and Gary Ewing; and a sister-in-law, Carol Jean Ewing.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Voss & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Kingle officiating. Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday.
