Hearts of Home Club February Meeting

Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club celebrated Valentine’s Day with members eating out Feb. 16 at Cortland Diner.

Their monthly meeting was conducted at the Seymour Library.

Susan Robbins opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the homemakers club creed.

The health and safety lesson was given by Debbie Shubert and entitled “Getting Older But Getting Wiser.”

Robbins read the thought for the day, and Shubert gave roll call by asking “Who was your very first love or crush?”

The citizenship lesson was given by Janet Jarvis entitled “Milltown” and “Folks Afraid of Earthquakes Should Leave California.”

Linda Lock led devotions entitled “Count Your Blessings.”

Members visited with Mary McIntosh at her home because she wasn’t able to attend the meeting.

The next meeting will be March 16 at Larrison’s Diner. The volunteer project will be to bring items for Community Provisions of Jackson County.
