Rosalie Alzina Day, 83, of North Vernon died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at her residence.

Survivors include six sons, Randy (Marla) Wasson and Larry (Denise) Wasson of North Vernon, Kevin (Denise) Wasson of Burdick, Kansas, Ron (Wanda) Day of Germantown, Tennessee, Allen Scherer of Holton and Larry (Brenda) Day of Commiskey; five daughters, Sherrie (Harold) Roe of North Vernon, Chris (Kevin) Hall of Seymour, Tina Porter-Day of North Vernon, Joyce (Roger) Cherry of North Vernon and Alice (Dave Weisel) Schorer of Oregon City, Oregon; a brother, Darrel Hurd of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Betty Hale of Merced, California, and Maxine Smith of Fresno, California; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Day.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church in North Vernon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services and from noon until time of service Sunday at the church.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or Hospice of Jennings County.
