Bertha Louise Hehman, 88, of Columbus passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Kindred Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Feb. 26, 1928, in Brown County, Kansas, she was the daughter of Martin William Hehman Sr. and Sophia Anna Trimpe, both of whom preceded her in death.
Bertha, a former resident of Jackson County, moved to Columbus, in 1973. She worked at Hooks Drug Store in Seymour, Seattle First National Bank in Weatchee, Washington, and was with Aid Association of Lutherans of Appleton, Wisconsin, for eight years. She also was a nanny in her later years and a professional genealogist.
Survivors include several relatives living in Jackson County.
A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Galligar officiating.
