Without seniors Jadelyn Dean and Carley McCammon, the Medora girls basketball team couldn’t manage double-digits scoring in a quarter as it fell at Shoals 65-24 on Thursday.

The Jug Rox took a 17-3 lead after the first eight minutes of play and led 18-11 at the half.

Shoals outscored the Hornets 22-7 in the third quarter en route to the win.

Medora turned the ball over 28 times in the contest.

The Hornets were led by 11 points from sophomore Lillian Hatfiled, and freshman Kailen Flynn tallied nine.

On the glass, Hatfield had four rebounds and Flynn snagged three boards.

The Hornets (2-18) will host Christian Academy on Monday.
