Larry Gene Scrogham, 62, of Columbus, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.
Born Aug. 15, 1953, in Columbus, he was the son of Everett L. Scrogham and Rae Gene Robertson Scrogham, both of whom live in Medora.
He had been ill for about a year and a half. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Cosco and also had worked at Bradford Soap. He lived and loved the country life.
Other survivors include four children, Patricia Scrogham of Columbus, Amy Scrogham of Louisville, Kentucky, Troy Scrogham of Columbus and Robert Scrogham of Columbus; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry Scrogham; and four sisters, Stacie Madden of Freetown, Sharon Thompson of Edinburgh, Beverly Moore of Brown County and Donna Lee of Medora.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelby Boggs.
There will be a memorial service for Larry at a later date.
