Troy V. Sapp

NORTH VERNON

Troy V. Sapp, 52, of North Vernon passed away at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at his residence.

Born Dec. 13, 1962, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of John Sapp, who preceded him in death, and Mary Jane Ogg Sapp, who survives in Ohio.

He graduated from Pendleton High School in 1981. Troy was employed by Cummins Inc., where he was a machine operator and also known as ”Booster of Morale.” He was a member of the Diesel Workers Union, a certified auctioneer and previously owned and operated Recollections and Collections in New Castle. He was an avid chess player and competed in the National Chess Competition. He enjoyed making people laugh, antiques and outdoor activities.

Besides his mother, other survivors include his brother, Eric Sapp of Ohio; friends and caregivers, Amy and Ross Shaffer of North Vernon; and his work family at Cummins Inc.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or donor’s choice of charity.
