
The deadline for registering to vote in the municipal elections Nov. 3 in Brownstown, Crothersville and Seymour is Oct. 5.
Applications must be received by the Jackson County Clerk’s Office at the courthouse in Brownstown or postmarked by that day.
Voter registration will not reopen until Dec. 1.
Absentee balloting will begin Oct. 19 at the courthouse in Brownstown and Jackson Superior Court I in Seymour. Registered voters may visit either site from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays through Oct. 30.
The absentee balloting board also will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 24 and 31 and from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 2. The traveling board for confined voters will be open during regular courthouse hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Applications from voters confined to their homes and voters who are out of the county also are being accepted through 11:58 p.m. Oct. 26.
