The Seymour Parks and Recreation department will conduct its first-ever duathlon Sept. 13 at Freeman Field Soccer Complex.
A duathlon consists of a 1-mile run, a 9-mile bike ride and a 5K run.
The purpose of the event is to build awareness for the Seymour Pedestrian Trails Project.
The race will start at 9 a.m. and costs $45 on race day or $35 prior to Sept. 11.
